First edition of the Course on "Science Diplomacy in the 21st Century: Foundations, Players, and Dynamics for Future Practice" that will take place in Erice, Sicily, at the Ettore Majorana Foundation and Centre for Scientific Culture from October 2nd to 8th, 2024.

The Course will delve into the various facets that define science diplomacy from its inception, offering a theoretical framework of the discipline. Furthermore, it will explore operational areas, key players, and application practices, providing participants with the opportunity to engage in practical activities within simulated contexts.

This Course is designed for diplomatic staff, officials of international organizations and NGOs, academics, researchers, and students. The goal for this inaugural edition is to encourage dialogue among diverse stakeholders and expertise regarding the role of science in fostering diplomatic relations and enhancing international cooperation.
