The Embassy of Italy to Vietnam, together with the Embassy of France and the EU Delegation, with the support of the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam, EURAXESS and ICISE organises a Symposium to promote the participation of Vietnamese universities in the next calls of Erasmus+ 2021-2027. To stimulate the presentation of Erasmus+ projects we start from collecting and sharing feedbacks from Vietnamese universities that already participate in Erasmus projects and EU universities that collaborate with Vietnam.
Italy is a major partner of Vietnam concerning the participation in Erasmus+ projects. In Horizon 2020 Italian and Vietnamese universities collaborated in 26 projects, 9 of these projects were coordinated by 7 Italian institutions (2 by the Consorzio Interuniversitario Almalaurea and the Università degli Studi di Roma la Sapienza, 1 by the Università degli Studi Dell'Aquila, the Università degli Studi di Padova, the Università degli Studi di Siena, the Università degli Studi Guglielmo Marconi – Telematica and the Università Telematica Internazionale).
Vietnam is the non EU country that benefited the most from the European ERASMUS+ Capacity building in higher education action during the Horizon 2020 program 2015-21 (74 projects involving 94 universities). Five of the 74 projects were coordinated by 3 Vietnamese universities: Danang University, Hue University and Hanoi University. Thanks to the support of the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam about 200 participants registered to attend the Symposium in Quy Nhon, representing the universities form northern, central and southern Vietnam.
