Urban Mobility 2.0
Dove: Universidad Politécnica de Madrid
Quando: 09/05/2025
MOST, "Centro Nazionale per la Mobilità Sostenibile", funded in NextGeneration UE, presents itself to the Spanish Ecosystem of Research and Innovation, in a workshop hosted by the Universidad politécnica de Madrid, organized in collaboration with "Centro de Investigación del Transporte (TRANSyT, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid)" and with the Italian Embassy in Madrid. The event is part of the initiatives promoted by the Italian Embassy to celebrate the "Giornata della Ricerca Italiana nel Mondo" 2025.
Sustainable mobility represents a crucial challenge for the future of our cities and our planet. The National Center for Sustainable Mobility (MOST) is committed to promoting modern, sustainable, and inclusive solutions through collaboration with universities, research institutions, and major companies. The goal is to transform the mobility system in Italy, making it a model of sustainability for the future.
MOST adopts a dynamic public-private partnership model to foster cooperation between various academic and industrial excellences, developing advanced research programs and solutions that meet market needs. As an aggregating platform, MOST plays the role of an international stakeholder capable of fostering new collaborations and joint projects, as well as enhancing the results achieved by facilitating the transition process "From research to market."
In this perspective, the enhancement of urban mobility is a key element for MOST, which aims to improve the quality of life in cities through innovative and sustainable transportation solutions. Promoting infrastructure and soft mobility services, such as pedestrian and cycling paths and electric mobility, is essential to reduce congestion and improve air quality.
The Urban Mobility 2.0 Workshop - The Rise of Smart Vehicles and Smart Infrastructure, organized in collaboration with the Centro de Investigación del Transporte (TRANSyT, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid) and the Italian Embassy in Madrid, aims to present academic research results, showcase innovative solutions developed by industrial players, and facilitate the exchange of best practices.
Achieving these objectives will promote the spread of greener, resilient, accessible, and competitive urban mobility, contributing to decarbonization and the transition to a circular economy.
